Modular visual patient information
Because of the constant growth in our daily information intake it becomes more and more difficult to store and remember everything. In difficult or emotional situations this problem becomes even bigger..
For my graduation project I worked with the dutch Heart Foundation. I started a search into a new way of giving out patient information. Where we help the brain a little, by letting the design be a tool to make it easier to read, understand and take in information. By making certain design choices and making use of the consequences a patient can be dealing with after having a stroke.
The end product is a tablet app, where the information is split up into modules, so that the patient only gets the information that is relevant to the part of the process that they are in. The user is part of the information process through the interactivity in the app, this helps them to store the information better. The patient can react to what they are reading and reflect on what they have read after each chapter, this can give insight to the people around them.
